Plain English summary: EmailLeaked is a free tool. Use it responsibly and only for lawful purposes. Results are informational only — we are not responsible for decisions you make based on them. We don't own the breach data, it comes from publicly available sources.
1 Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using EmailLeaked.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses the Service.
2 Description of service
EmailLeaked provides a free tool that allows users to check whether their email address or password has appeared in publicly known data breaches. Results are sourced from publicly available breach databases including the HaveIBeenPwned (HIBP) API maintained by security researcher Troy Hunt.
The Service is provided free of charge with no account required. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
3 Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to check email addresses belonging to others without their explicit consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate requests to the Service
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
Violation of these terms may result in your access to the Service being restricted or terminated.
4 Accuracy of results
Results provided by the Service are based on publicly known breach data. A clean result does not guarantee that your email has not been exposed in an undisclosed or private breach. New breaches are discovered continuously, and some breaches are not publicly disclosed for months or years after they occur.
We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the results. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for security decisions.
5 Intellectual property
The design, code, and content of EmailLeaked.com are the intellectual property of EmailLeaked. The underlying breach data is sourced from publicly available databases and is not owned by us. The HaveIBeenPwned name and associated trademarks belong to Troy Hunt.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service's design or code without express written permission.
6 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EmailLeaked and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or harm to reputation.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service — which, as the Service is free, is zero.
7 Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a harmful way. You may stop using the Service at any time.
8 Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
9 Changes to terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
