How do I check if a website is a scam?

Paste the address from the email, text, or pop-up first. If lists already flag it, stop. If they do not, still check the domain spelling, whether the page demands a password out of the blue, and whether you reached it from a bookmark or from a message that created urgency. A clean list result is not a stamp that the business is legitimate.

Is this website legit just because it is not flagged?
